Candlelight Christmas Garden is the perfect choice! Consisting of five short suites, this program can be presented in its entirety, lasting approximately 20 minutes, or as individual short programs throughout the season.

Each suite focuses on a seasonal tradition of light, and the history of Christmas flowers and greens from around the world, affording opportunity to create a visually stunning presentation. Santa Lucia enters first, wearing an evergreen crown and carrying candles in the Swedish tradition. Next, seasonal candles are lighted, encircled by holly, as we recall the prophecies of Isaiah. Christmas roses bloom throughout Europe as the angel Gabriel (which can be represented by a lighted angel) appears to Mary, announcing God's good news. In Mexico, the poinsettia's leaves turn from green to red as a special gift to the Christ Child, and a star is illuminated. In the United States, the children decorate the Christmas tree with white and gold ornaments (known as Chrismons) and light it, reflecting the purity and majesty of God's Son.

A beautiful candlelight ceremony closes the program as God's people join with the heavenly angels, softly singing a lullaby to the Babe who is the Lord of Light and Life.

Flexible and easy to prepare, Candlelight Christmas Garden can be performed by a single choir or by different groups of singers.
