Recently, I was thinking what a treasure my husband has been to me - more precious than the home we share, than the possessions we have worked for - and I thought: "What could be more precious to me than Scott?" Immediately the name Jesus came to my mind and heart. To every believer, the name and person of our Lord and Savior is a precious treasure. Thus was born the song that became the cornerstone of this project.

Many of these pieces are special to me. This collection includes not only solo arrangements of some of my favorite choral pieces, but well-loved hymns that focus on the name or person of Jesus. The collection is designed to give you songs to sing throughout the church year for any occasion, including Lent (His Hands), Baptism (Rain Down on Me), Stewardship (With What Shall I Come?), Advent / Christmas (Christmas Grace), and that difficult-to-plan Sunday after Christmas (Stay with Me), and includes such familiar hymns as I'm Gonna Sing, What a Friend We Have in Jesus, and In the Garden.

To make this collection unique, in addition to beautiful piano accompaniments, I have added optional string synthesizer parts to enhance your presentation of these songs and make the worship experience even more meaningful. These are included in the back of the book and may be reproduced for your synthesizer player.

The accompaniment CD (also included in the book) features piano and synthesizer, and can be used for rehearsal as well as performance if you prefer the recorded track to live piano and synth. The CD also includes two bonus tracks; His Hands, artfully recorded with live orchestra, and Christmas Grace, recorded with live strings.

It is my prayer that this collection will be a useful resource that you, as a soloist and worship leader, will turn to again and again to share your love for the Lord with your fellow worshipers. May we never forget the depth of God's love to give us the gift of Jesus. What a precious treasure!
