Lilting 6/8 meter keeps the message of this song moving along toward the climactic promise, "I will love you" that is the heart of every successful family relationship. Precious Promises
This lovely song begins with men singing their promise: "I will be a godly husband, lovingly I'll lead the way, cherishing my family and honoring the promises I've made." Women then pick up the melody with their commitment. Children promise to seek God's will to become the person God desires; youth and/or single adults sing "...I will honor His design by waiting faithfully." The whole family is given the opportunity to renew their commitment to God's standard and their vows and promises. Perfect for Christian Family Sunday or any time a family emphasis is desired.
